I want to change or update my school selection

At this time we are unable to change or update your school selection, however we are working on this feature and hope to introduce it shortly. In the meantime, you can log out of the app and create a secondary account with an alternate email address and your correct school or log out of the app and select the ‘Browse as Guest’ option and select your correct school.

I want to add multiple schools to my account.

Currently, you can only be logged in to one school at a time. In order to view content for another school, you can sign out of your account and then 'Browse as Guest' for another school. To do this within the app, tap on More > My Profile > Sign Out. You will be logged out of your account. On the app start screen, select 'Browse as Guest' and then select the school you'd like to view.

I am not sure how to use Café Loyalty to scan a beverage.

When you make a purchase at the cafe, please ask the cashier at the register for the QR code that you are supposed to scan. Use the application scanner (pictured below) to scan the QR code.

Please do not try to scan the receipt, as this will not register in the application.

The app is telling me I have an account, but I don’t remember signing up.

The app has been upgraded to merge your existing mobile account with your Online Bookstore Account. If you have registered for any account on any Barnes & Noble College property, including the online bookstore, your account will have automatically been created for mobile! Please follow the steps below to access your account.

  1. Open the My College Bookstore App
  2. Click "Sign Up"
  3. Sign Up using your old Mobile Account Email
  4. All set!

Your Online Bookstore Account has now been merged with your existing mobile account. If you are a Cafe Loyalty user, you will see your scans return within the next 24 hours. If this does not occur, please send an email to appbnc@bncollege.com and provide the email address you are trying to use to log in so the team can resolve.

My username and password aren’t working!

Please use the ‘Forgot Password’ prompt located on the Log In screen to reset your password.

Cafe Loyalty

You will receive an email with a link to reset your password. This link will expire in 24 hours, or if you request another Password Reset. Once you have completed the Reset, please try logging into the application once more. If you continue to have an issue logging in, please send the following information to appbnc@bncollege.com:

  1. Your full name
  2. Your email
  3. A screenshot of the error you’re receiving

I can’t find my school in the school selection!

The My College Bookstore application is only for schools that have a Barnes & Noble College bookstore on campus. If you believe your school does have a Barnes & Noble College bookstore on campus and you’re unable to find your school within the app, please try searching for the “Short Name” of your school. For example, if you attend Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis, try searching for IUPUI. If you’re still unable to find your school, please email appbnc@bncollege.com.
